A site where youth and emerging adults can access information, resources and tools during difficult times.


STOP A BULLY is an anti-bullying prevention & reporting program meant to assist Canadian students & schools reduce/prevent violence and harassment in our schools. Stop A Bully functions as both a bullying reporting system and a bully deterrent in schools by increasing awareness and accountability. Stop A Bully is available to any student in Canada who needs to submit a Bully Report. Stop A Bully encourages students, parents & staff members to submit a request to add their school to this violence prevention program so that we can reduce the acts of bullying in our schools. Schools will receive promotional material to help make students aware that this service is available to them if they need help.

Teen Mental Health

This site includes content on understanding mental health, as well as mental health information and resources for specific groups, including families and teens, educators and health professionals.  It also includes a section on transitions, with a link to the “transitions” document, which is aimed at providing first-year post-secondary students with information on topics including time management, relationships, sexual activity, mental illness, suicide and addictions. The guide also includes mental health self-help information and contains recommendations where students can go to get help on their campus.

The HeadRoom

Designed to provide information to children, families, and service providers about children’s mental health. Offers several ‘virtual rooms’ specific to different groups (e.g., the cubby house: ages 6-12; the lounge: ages 12-18; the family room: parents and friends; and the kitchen: service providers).

The New Mentality

The New Mentality is a network promoting youth engagement in mental health and reducing the stigma of mental illness.  The New Mentality is a program of Children's Mental Health Ontario.


The description on their homepage says it best: "Trippin can help you figure out what's going on when life feels a bit "out of it". Heaps of stuff can cause you to trip out, things like depression, worries and fears, alcohol and drugs, stress or even stuff to do with sex or sexuality. Trippin explains what all of these things are (plus heaps of other stuff too), and gives you some ideas for how you can sort them out if they are a problem for you."

Wildberry Productions

Creators of the "WE ARE POWERFUL™" children's series - conceived and designed to facilitate the lives of children who have ADHD, ADD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Tourette's Syndrome, Asperger Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. This series of books help adults gain a greater understanding of children and their unique world.

Young and Healthy

An interactive site for adolescents about adolescent health. Provides facts, answers FAQs, and deals with sensitive topics. A comprehensive, interesting, and easy-to-navigate site.


YoungMinds is a national charity (in the United Kingdom) that is committed to improving the mental health of all children and young people. They do this through giving advice, training, campaigning and distributing publications. Their website has a section for children, young people, and for parents.

Youth Net / Reseau Ado Ottawa

A bilingual, regional, mental health promotion and intervention program run by youth, for youth. Reaches out and helps youth develop and maintain good mental health, as well as healthy coping strategies for dealing with stress.
