Position Description
In this position you will provide individual trauma-specific therapy and trauma-informed group services to children and their families which facilitate their healing and healthy development in all domains. Incorporate wellness-, resilience- and trauma-informed concepts, philosophy and interventions into client service and provide a trauma informed focus to kidsLINK programs through consultation, using a collaborative approach.
Liaise with families and collaterals to ensure optimum coordination of services and collaborative working relationships. You will ensure the timeliness and quality of all assigned recording, reports, correspondence and program statistics. Engage in teaching, educational and/or research activities that build professional knowledge of the impact and treatment of trauma. Participate as required in program development activities, and kidsLINK committees, task forces, etc. and contribute to the achievement of kidsLINK’s vision for client services and impact in the lives of children and youth.
Qualifications (e.g., skills, experience, degrees, certifications, etc.)
Are you ready to join us on this exciting journey? Check to make sure you have a Masters of Social Work, or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years in trauma specific work with children and youth; demonstrated trauma based therapeutic intervention skills, and be qualified to provide multiple methods of trauma-specific therapeutic work.
You must be eligible for registration with OCSW and SSW. Have proven experience in applying wellness and resilience knowledge to therapeutic work.
